We started PocketList with a simple but revolutionary idea: that renters could change the world by sharing what they know about the rental market with each other. Together, renters are powerful because they have the deepest, most recent, and least biased knowledge of what it's like to live in any given apartment.
The world had other plans, unfortunately.
Generally, because of COVID and the related eviction moratoriums, we weren't able to build a sustainable business before our resources dried up.
We built a great team. That team built a great platform. That platform provided genuinely novel solutions in a crufty old industry.
The platform will be suspended at 5PM on Friday, May 21, 2021. All products will stop functioning, and all personal information will be securely disposed of.
